Conversion from MRI to CT Using AI for Fractures

نویسندگان

چکیده

Synthetic CT images reconstructed from MR is an upcoming artificial intelligence (AI) tool for radiologists. It has been validated detection of erosions at the sacroiliac joints and validation other applications ongoing – with high expectations. The technique uses deep learning, a subtype machine to reconstruct images. By adding one sequence some automated postprocessing, radiologist obtains synthetic which can be multiplanar reformatted. One main will likely more detailed evaluation fractures on MRI. Once validated, possibilities numerous example, evaluate incidental fracture during scanning or whilst avoiding radiation in pediatric patients. latest data discussed, based available literature, studies, experience Ghent University Hospital.

Conversion from temporary external fixation to definitive fixation: shaft fractures.

Temporary external fixation is the most common method of initial stabilization of diaphyseal fractures in forward surgical hospitals. Once the patient arrives at a stable environment, usually the United States, the fracture is managed with intramedullary nailing, small-pin external fixation, or a modified external fixator. Future research should be directed toward improving methods of care. It ...

Prediction of Conversion from Mild Cognitive Impairment to Alzheimer's Disease Using MRI and Structural Network Features

Optimized magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) features and abnormalities of brain network architectures may allow earlier detection and accurate prediction of the progression from mild cognitive impairment (MCI) to Alzheimer's disease (AD). In this study, we proposed a classification framework to distinguish MCI converters (MCIc) from MCI non-converters (MCInc) by using a combination of FreeSurfer...

Detection of Conversion from Mild Cognitive Impairment to Alzheimer's Disease Using Longitudinal Brain MRI

Mild Cognitive Impairment (MCI) is an intermediate stage between healthy and Alzheimer's disease (AD). To enable early intervention it is important to identify the MCI subjects that will convert to AD in an early stage. In this paper, we provide a new method to distinguish between MCI patients that either convert to Alzheimer's Disease (MCIc) or remain stable (MCIs), using only longitudinal T1-...

CAD on Liver Using CT and MRI

The incidence of liver diseases is very high in Asian countries. This paper introduces our computer-aided diagnosis (CAD) system for diagnosing liver cancer and describes the fundamental technologies employed in the system and its performance. The results showed that our system is useful for diagnosing liver cancer, and it is expected that employing CAD in clinical practice would reduce the mor...

Comparison of CT and MRI for diagnosis of suspected scaphoid fractures.

BACKGROUND There is no consensus on the optimum imaging method to use to confirm the diagnosis of true scaphoid fractures among patients with suspected scaphoid fractures. This study tested the null hypothesis that computed tomography (CT) and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) have the same diagnostic performance characteristics for the diagnosis of scaphoid fractures. METHODS Thirty-four cons...
